November 2012 ~ Sophia ~ Senior doxie in need of a new home and medical care. Many people had to come together to keep this sweetie from ending up in the shelter. Sue agreed to foster her and Longdog Rescue stepped up to help. Then Corinne Zoscak found her a new home and helped with transport. Bella’s Fund made a donation to cover her dental. She is now in a forever home in MI.
UPDATE: Sadly, Sophia went to the bridge shortly after settling in her forever home. It’s just hard on these Seniors when they have had many years of neglect, sometimes it’s just to late to reverse the damage. She knew she was loved in the end though. Corinne Zoscak formed a charity to help other dachshunds in her memory..
It is named the Sophia’s Grace Foundation.
