~ Bentley ~

July 2012 ~ Bentley ~ Rescued from a FL shelter. Bentley was a very old doxie on the euthanization list at a Florida shelter. It literally took an village to save him. Bella’s Fund offered to help with his medical expenses. But he needed a foster home to go to.. Some of our dear Bella’s Fund Friends in a city a few hours away offered to foster him. And, a wonderful lady in New Mexico was wanting to adopt him. We were hoping he would be healthy enough to fly. His foster mom kept him for a few weeks and nursed him back to health, at least healthy enough to fly. Another dear angel offered to carry him on with her on a flight back to NM that would be going thru Miami. A few weeks later he was on his way to his forever mom in NM. Of course, he still needed a lot of care and she made sure he got it. Just look at the before/after photos. He got healthy enough for his dental and has the most loving family one could ever wish for.
UPDATE: 10/30/12 – Very sad to report that Bentley has gone to the rainbow bridge. Due to the years of neglect the damage already done just wasn’t reversable. We are very thankful that he had the chance to be truely loved and cared for and to enjoy life. His wonderful forever mom was with him till the end ~
