February 20, 2013 ~ Mia ~ We received a call from a neighbor asking for help to keep Mia from going to the shelter. She knew Mia’s family, they were moving and were planning to take their pets to the shelter if they had not found other homes for them by the time they moved. No way could we let that happen!!
I contacted a few rescues offering to cover her medical fees if they could take her and Happy Tails Dachshund Rescue agreed. I picked her up the next day and transferred her down to them in Phoenix.
Although, it was VERY hard for me to let her go.. Only had her with me for a few hours but had already fell in love with this sweet little angel..
How her family could part with her like that I will never understand.
UPDATE! Mia ended up being adopted by her foster mom!
