November 2012 ~ Ferdy ~ Bella’s Fund made a donation to help with his surgery for a broken femur..
“Ferdy was a scrawny, flea bitten stray who was lucky not to be dead after a terrible car accident. He was brought to a SoCal shelter, where it was determined he had a complex spiral fracture of the femur of his back leg which left sharp shards of the bone jabbing into his muscles in two directions. A kind Canadian rescuer stood up for him and had him pulled today – she’s going to need help if we are going to save Ferdy from a short and horrific lifetime of pain and disability. He’s a nice guy who thumps his tail in gratitude for his escape from the euth table even though he’s suffering.”
UPDATE: Ferdy had his surgery on Nov. 9…
